Comments from people who have attended Laurel's presentations:
- I did enjoy your presentation last week and I now feel that I have a beginners understanding for Autism. Your down to earth explanations answered all of my questions and now when I hear someone talking about their child or family member with the disorder, I will be able to understand what the child and his family are processing during their lives. Again, great job. The CASA's who weren't there missed one of the best learning meetings we have had this year.
- A great presentation! I couldn't write fast enough. You were very interesting and informative. Keep up the good work. This is an issue that we need to be informed about, so we can do what's best for our kids. I can already see that not dealing with my grandaughter correctly is hurtful and frustrating to her, and certainly does not help to mold her into the person God wants her to be. Thank-you.
- Laurel is very knowledgeable and has the ability to communicate her knowledge in an easily understood manner. I liked her visual aides and the various resources she provided.

- The language and structure of the process may be applied to most students--such as emotionally disturbed or ADHD.
- The training provided me with information on Autism and Asperger's that I was not knowledgeable about. It also gave me many tips and tools I can use with students I am working with in class. It gave me a better understanding of their needs--thank you!
